Pillar

We have a pillar (and less bricks!) Half the gable wall outer leaf is down, we have a little woodworm in the first floor joist and we can see the unfilled, 2 inch cavity in the existing outside walls - the new thermal blocks (Airtek aerated concrete blocks) and 75mm insulation (Knauf Dritherm cavity slab) should make a huge difference.
